Done under the theme 'boundlessness', in Minds Look Alike a photograph of me and a photograph of my mother, when in my age, is morphed together back and forth, in order to blur the borders between us, in an obvious way. Accompanying the images is a found tape-recording of my mother speaking to an for me unknown man, in what seems to be a terapeutic situation. The result impeccably shows that our likeness is more than physical (since the images morphed together hardly changes at all switching from one face to another). The dialogue enhances the fact that even our minds look alike as the thoughts my mother expresses might as well be my own.
The video is more than anything a comfort. It proves that I need not go longer than to myself to find my mother“s mind and appearance since it, because of lifes merciless rules of life and death, is impossible for me to find it in her.
